How do we forecast threats in our environment?
How do we integrate personal and others' experiences to learn about threats?
Which neurochemicals transmit personal and others' experiences and regulate our responses to threats?
Research in our lab focuses on neurotransmitter systems that regulate how we learn from personal (first-hand) and others' aversive experiences. To reach this goal, we employ functional neuroimaging and psychophysiological methods, combined with pharmacological interventions in humans. Our lab is based at the Department of Systems Neuroscience at the Medical University Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, Germany
